There are no redeeming qualities to Viva Essays. They don’t want you to know anything about them, their services, prices, and extras. I will never use this company again, and not just because they made my day miserable, but because their writing is atrocious.

Is Viva Essays legit? The company run by Cyber Jam Limited can’t settle on its inception year. Some pages read 2004-2019, while others state the company has been around since 2011. The website is extremely slow to load, and yet it provides no meaningful information about the company, its services, and rates. It feels like the website had been released before it was fully finished with some pages still missing. Overall, it didn’t instill confidence in me, and after my experience with this writing agency, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s just not worth your money and time.

Online reputation

I started with a Viva Essays Reddit search and found zero discussions. When I repeated the search on Trustpilot and SiteJabber, the results were the same. I couldn’t even find any Viva Essays reviews on their website. There can be two possible explanations: either the company does not collect customer testimonials or the feedback is no negative across the board, they don’t want to publish it. Neither of these options breeds trust, so I was understandably wary when placing the order.

Guarantees

According to Viva Essays refund policy, you have to submit a compensation request within 60 days of receiving the paper. Full refund is possible if you can prove the paper is plagiarized or the writer did not follow order instructions. If you claim formatting problems, you can only get up to 10% of the price, and punctuation and grammar mistakes are worth no more than 30% of the order total. If you are patient enough to jump through all the hoops, Viva Essays will return the money to your account or offer store credit.

Types of Services

You won’t find it anywhere on the website until you log in and start the order process, but the company offers academic and business writing services. The former includes writing, editing, and proofreading all types of academic papers across dozens of subjects. The latter comes in Standard and Premium options with a variety of documents, such as letters, memos, speeches, presentations, and more.

The book review service caught my attention. The company magnanimously agrees to buy the necessary title for the writer if he or she doesn’t already own it, but only if you cover the expense. Shouldn’t they have library access or a home collection of books if they write the same reviews for Literature classes?

Ordering Process

The order process was an ordeal that almost turned into the last straw. There were four steps I had to go through, and none of them but the last let me see the price. I wonder how many customers the company loses at the last stage because they can’t afford the cost. Another “great” thing about this website is that it doesn’t let you edit the order before payment but after you confirm it. I had to create several new orders because I couldn’t go back to add information or correct some fields.

Prices and Fees

The whole website feels unfinished with so little information about the company it’s ridiculous. They list minimum prices for writing ($9.95), editing ($7.99), and proofreading ($6.99), but there’s no way to estimate the cost before you create an account and go through four steps of the order process. It would have been a massive waste of time if I hadn’t had enough money to cover the order total.

Paper Quality

So is Viva Essays scam? Not in a traditional sense. They delivered my essay, though I would never submit anything like this to my professor. It was obvious the writer did not bother to research the subject and relied on Wikipedia entries instead of industry-specific journals and books. Some paragraphs included a couple of sentences, while another spanned the whole page. The writer botched formatting and citations, and I found at least a dozen typos, so I don’t believe an editor or a proofreader went through my paper despite the company’s claims.

Customer Support

Tyler, the Support Wizard, explained the difference between writing and editing services when I contacted the support team with my questions. I had to rephrase my question several times, and Tyler still did not understand me. After a few minutes, I started to suspect the support wizard was not a native English speaker or a rookie. Either way, I did not get a clear answer. It seems even the customer support team is set on providing as little information as possible instead of helping.

Offers and Extra Services

The only additional feature I found was writer preference. I could choose between the best available candidate, a native or a fluent English speaker, or the one who completed a specific order. However, as there was no way to check the price on the go, I can’t say for sure how these features influence the order total.

Viva Essays discount program slices 5% off the price if you order 25+ pages. For a 15% discount, you’d have to stick with the company for 100+ pages. There was also a VivaEssays promo code box in the order form, but I couldn’t find one and paid the full price.
