I heard a lot of positive things about ZipJob, and thus, I decided to check myself whether it is true what people say about this service. After I ordered a resume on this site, it became apparent to me that the company doesn’t use a standard template but applies an innovative approach that I read about in some magazines. The service promises to use a specific resume writing strategy depending on your position, field of work, or professional background. Besides, they guarantee 2X more interviews and free revisions.

Today I want to share with you my experience with ZipJob. It is a resume writing service that helps people to get a job. You may even find Zipjob Forbes articles mentioning innovative approaches that this company applies to get the highest result.

I looked through the writers’ profiles which are available on the site, and they seemed to be quite credible. Some of these writers I could find on LinkedIn, and some even have some kind of blogs with exactly the same information about them which you can see on ZipJob. 

That gives me a piece of hope that this resume writing service is good. Nevertheless, I don’t want to make a snap judgment but check the service myself to ensure that they can really provide good resumes as promised.

First of all, I decided to check what other people who have already used this service say about ZipJob. I know that sometimes people just talk, but from my previous experience with such sites, I can say there is no smoke without a fire. I began with the zipjob reviews reddit search.

Unfortunately, I didn’t discover a lot. There was one story, where a guy told that he had received a perfectly written resume from ZipJob but still didn’t find a job. Another post compared zipjob vs topresume telling why the latter was a better choice. So, finding neither enough zipjob complaints nor praises, I moved on and visited TrustPilot.

The statistics that I found there were impressive. 83% of zipjob resume writing reviews left by 489 people were excellent and had the highest rating.

Then, I also visited Sitejabber, where the situation was almost the same. Of course, I found some negative pieces of feedback where people say that ZipJob uses a standard template to write resumes, and it does not apply any specific approach to make a unique resume for you.

That alarmed me - is zipjob good if there are comments like this? But wait a minute, I saw a few hundreds of positive comments on TrustPilot just a few minutes ago; they cannot lie? I returned to TrustPilot and took a closer look at those positive reviews. They didn’t seem fake to me. 

As for me, some negative comments should be. That’s life, and there are always people who are not fully satisfied with the service, no matter how hard the company tries. 

Even Apple Inc. has negative reviews. So, I would rather trust a service with a couple of negative comments than the one with a brilliant reputation without a single accusation from the clients. 

Overall Guarantees

I managed to find a guarantee to revise a resume if you don’t get 2X more interviews within 60 days. The company also does promise that all their writers are based in the US and have decent experience in resume writing. And they also guarantee that your resume will contain specific keywords so that it successfully passes the scans that recruiters use to find the necessary candidate. Well, it sounds promising

Types of Academic Services

ZipJob has a package system service. It means that you cannot order a resume or a cover letter and pay only for this type of service. You either pay for the minimum package where only a resume writing option is available or buy an advanced package where a cover letter and some other features are also included. So, if you, for example, need only a cover letter, you still need to buy a package where you also pay for a resume.

All packages are divided into three categories; below you can see what each of them includes. Personally, for me, it is not the best option because I don’t want to pay money for features I don’t need but usually people who need a cover letter also require help with their resumes. So, maybe, it is not such a bad idea.

The first step you need to do is to choose one of the three packages which will satisfy your demands. After that, click the Order Now button, and you will need to log in or create an account if you don’t have one.

The second step consists of providing details on your payment method, and when you complete it, you can attach your current resume and provide any additional information about your position.

As I have mentioned above, the cost of the service depends on the package that you select. So, just a resume writing service will cost you $139. If you need a cover letter to be added to your resume, then you should select a package which costs $179.

And for $299, you will get all the same services, but also a Linkedin profile update and a faster delivery. I was looking for a zipjob discount but could find one neither on the company’s site nor on the Internet.

However, there is one service that the company offers for free - resume review. The company promises to analyze your current resume within 48 hours and provide feedback on it. That’s a very generous offer, and I didn’t meet a similar option on other resume writing websites. 

Quality of Assignments

Some of those zipjob resume writing reviews which said that the company uses a standard template were unfounded. I ordered a resume from ZipJob experts and got a resume that was a lot different from what I wrote on my own.

They didn’t just change a few titles’ sections and paraphrased my Qualifications Summary, they made corrections in the resume structure, optimized the entire document with the required keywords and just made it look more professional. There is a live chat on the site, or you can send your concern to the company’s email address. They promise to answer within 24 hours, but I still give preference to a chat since it allows to clarify all issues within minutes.
